Zach Fitzgerald studied classical and jazz trumpet at DePaul University. While in school, he played in the DePaul Jazz Ensemble, Wind Symphony, Concert Orchestra, Chamber ensembles, and Brass Ensemble. He has studied classical and jazz trumpet under Stephen Burns, Esteban Batallán, and Chad McCullough. He has recorded in studio sessions for Chicago bands such as Naomi 10 Million, Ira Glass, and Banana Ketchup. Additional to recording, he also performs for church services and private events around the city.
